I have a process I try to use when I create a new pattern.
Here are just a few steps in my process:
a thought
grab a pen
get it down on pattern paper ASAP before the thought is lost
measure twice cut once
sew, seam ripper, sew, seam ripper and finally sew
My final step before sending off my design to the pattern tester, editor and photographer I have to try the sample on someone........I have two boys.........I create mostly girl clothing.
My five year old is on to me and when I need him to try something on, it usually has a price.
But, my 2 year old is clueless and enjoys every minute of spinning and jumping in my ruffled or bubbled creations. Soon he will be as old as his brother and will catch on, but for now I think I have the perfect model. I can't wait for his graduation poster day!!

Thank you Jules!

Cute. I used to do the same thing with my boy. I would sew for my niece, and since she was so big, I would have my son Nicolas try it on. I would just cut off the head when posting pictures. Cute.
That is so sweet! I love the detail under the arm there too. I will definitely stop by again and see you later!
