The second half of my life is about to begin, according to my husband. I had to remind him that I'm only 35. It's such an exciting feeling to know your about to enter into a whole new world. Everything is new, fresh and Green! But along with the excitement comes sadness.
I think of my dearest friends and I get a chill. I think of the wall in my childrens bedroom that has there heights marked in pencil from the time they were born and my eyes become damp.

I think of my sewing room and begin to cry like a little girl who just lost her ice cream cone to the hot sun.
How do I say goodbye to the first room that I had all to myself, painted a perfectly bright yellow to cheer up any dull grey day. The perfect little hooks on the wall that I spent hours and hours trying to find. This is where I came to release my creative passion, where Jules played blocks when I "needed" to sew and where Franco first learned to sew. I have cried, laughed, ripped out creations and created some of my most treasured in this room so, I'm going to say goodbye to my room by saying Thank you "Figgys" room for all the wonderful memories.
I hope to blog as my family travels across this beautiful country from Ohio to Oregon. Please stop back and travel with me as I begin the 2nd half of my life. We leave on the 12th!
