my little sweat shop

What a pleasure it is to see your children grow (not too fast).
It is especially satisfying to have them show an
interest in what it is that you love.
On Labor Day I had the pleasure of "working" with my oldest little one, Franco.
He and I have had the pleasure of creating together but
when I heard "Mommy, Can I Sew?" ......my heart melted just a little.

He turned the machine on and stepped on the pedal like he was Speed Racer.

I thought to myself, Oh No! What I have done. We have a trunk show next week and my machine will be in the shop by the end of the day :) BUT........ we survived.

Franco picked his thread and I showed him how to hold the fabric and where not to put his fingers to save us a trip to the ER.

He was ready. He pushed every button there was and practiced pushing the pedal fast and slow. About 12 minutes later.....

"I'm going to go play Lego now".

It was over, but every minute was savored.

Thank you Franco. I love you, Mommy.

Stop growing up so fast!
